Cave, vault, cellar, however you would like to call the vault of the Seehotel Bellevue, what we are talking about here is a witness of time. The arches under the magnificent building from the 19th century have already experienced a lot. It has withstood the test of time and still carries the proud Seehotel Bellevue on its shoulders. A worthy setting to house the finest wines from abroad and inland, which we serve together with the culinary highlights in the restaurant.

Discovered by chance …

… well there actually are no coincidences. Everything happens for a reason and therefore it was not a coincidence, that when renovating, as the plaster fell from the walls, the old, steeped in history and wonderful vault was discovered in the cellar of the Bellevue. The visual appearance is sensational, the conditions are perfect and the temperature is ideal to house local and international rarities in this wine cellar. The decision was quickly made – the “CAVE 1872” would be our wine cellar.

The CAVE 1872 is not only a wine cellar. It is also big enough to cater for up to 14 people at any one time. This pleases us greatly, as this gives our guests the opportunity to come down into the stunning ambiance of the cave and to take in the history of this building. We use CAVE 1872 as a restaurant-annexe, for wine tastings or for special evenings as a couple or with friends and family. The choice of the very best and finest wines from local and exotic wine regions will impress you.

The “Black Board” – this is what we call our modern interpretation and cool fashioned wine list at the Seehotel Bellevue. Take a look and discover the 100 tried and selected premium wines from Austria, Italy, France and Germany. These will be poured in a so-called CORAVIN, without having to pull the cork. Decide upon a Magnum bottle of an international rarity or for our house wine, from the TOM DOCKNER vineyard – enjoyment for wine lovers is a certainty.
